Sunset Beach Resort opened in December 2006 with a total of 28 rooms exclusivly for one tour operator. In December 2007 the hotel was opened to all operators and the rooms were upgraded to a total of 44 rooms.
Summer 2008 saw us refurbishing and updating certain aspects of the property, including furnishings and upgrades in all the 28 old rooms, so as to meet the standards of the newer (8) rooms.
Summer 2008 also saw the consturction of a tennis court and the start of work on the new suites, due for completion by the end of 2008.
The hotel is in Nungwi on Zanzibar's northern tip. The northern end of Zanzibar is an increasingly popular destination with sandy beaches and coves for warm and safe swimmimg.
The Hotel’s restaurant and pool are set in beautifully landscaped gardens and located on a slightly elevated rocky outcrop with an adjoining beautiful sandy bay and fabulous clear water.
